I bought another bag!!

I know, I know, just what I need right?? Wait till the hubs sees this as he already thinks I have waaaaay too many bags. Hey, some girls like shoes, I like bags. Here she is, in all her glory

aaaahhh...isn't she a beauty?? It's the Kathy Van Zeeland Moto Chic handbag!!!
I got her off of Ebay and can hardly wait for her to arrive. Since I have so many bags I needed something to be able to switch them at a moment's notice. It can be very time consuming having to empty out your whole purse and put all your stuff into another purse...so lots of times I just don't bother or I end up not switching because I didn't have the time. Well not now!! I bought this new purse organizer!!. Check it out!

I bought the large one black and can hardly wait for it to come! I'll review it for you guys and show you how I'll put all my stuff in it!!

Ok, now I need to stop shopping for myself as Christmas is coming but I just couldn't resist these!

Back to the arty world now, here is my ATC for the last Simply Artistic challenge

That's the first time I used that stamp and I love her!

I finished reading "Candy girl" on my Sony reader and it was quite the read! It was all about a woman's life in the stripping world. Very raunchy, titillating and kept you hooked!!

Speaking of hooked the hubs and I are totally hooked on weeds, the show that is!

We have finished season 1

and are sucked into season 2 now

I can hardly wait to get home tonight and keep watching it!!! How about you, have you seen it??

My canvas came!!

You have to check out this website called
Photo Canvas! They have the most amazing canvases and you can pick different editing features as well. I sent them this picture of the hubs and I

and then I picked the "Banksy feature" and this is the canvas I was sent

Isn't that super cool?? They have designers who will pick a background and design your banksy canvas for you. I just love it and can hardly wait to hang it up!!!

More exciting news is that I got my issue of the November/December 2010
Scrapbooking MM magagazine in the mail on Friday!! It's a Dutch magazine and I was asked by the Editor in Chief to have 2 projects in their magazine!!!

I felt so honored because the work is this magazine is gorgeous!!! I also recognized quite a few names from the scrappy world so I was thrilled to be in such good company. I can't share my projects until January so you'll have to come back and check them out!

Here is a layout I did using some fabulous Kaiser Craft products from the
Scrapbook Star store, I just love these wooden frames!!!

I finished my art journal page for the A year in the life of an art journal and the word was "life"

Watched a couple movies this weekend, saw "The Runaways" and I enjoyed seeing the movie after reading the book, it was good but sad how that manager bastard took advantage of those girls.

Also saw "The backup plan" and it was cute

I'm still in my jammies and just enjoying a lazy Sunday, how about you?

I won the challenge at 2 peas!!

I won the challenge over at Two Peas with this layout using Pink Paislee products (if you scroll down you will see Pink Paislee challenge winners):

The prize is a $100 package of Pink Paislee products!!! Can you believe it?? I was so super pumped when I got the email from Jamie Sorenson, one of the Garden Girls, today!!! I can hardly wait to get the package and see all of the Pink Paislee goodness!!! I can't buy Pink Paislee products where I live so this will be awesome!

I posted my DT challenge today over at Scrapbook Star and my challenge was to use circles in your layout. I used my handy dandy circle punch (love that thing) and made this layout about the 2 families of birds that we raised this past summer. They built a nest beside our front door on our porch and it was amazing. John and I would sit on the porch and have a beer and just watch them.

I also did a few packing tape transfer ATC's and had alot of fun with them. Here are the ones I did:

and last but not least

I love doing packing tape transfers because of the ethereal look to the images. Each of these was made using 2 different images.

I ordered this case for my new Sony reader and it should be here tomorrow.

I'll feel alot better when I get this because I hate leaving it exposed when I'm finished reading on it. I'm always worried something is going to spill on it!

I finished the Neon Angel book that I talked about in my earlier post and am now on "His father's son" by Bentley Little

The strange thing is that I'm actually reading more books than before I had this reader!! That's a good thing!! How about you, what are you reading and is it good?

I'm going to see the Goo Goo Dolls!!!!!

I think I have died and gone to heaven! I logged onto Facebook today and low and behold, saw that the Goos had posted that they are going to be in Regina in February!!!!!!! I snapped up 2 tickets, in row 2!!!!!!! I'm still pinching myself!!! My best friend Gay is going with me and I am super pumped. It was seriously like God himself was smiling down upon me. I mean I have kicked my ass numerous times for not going to see them 4 or 5 years ago when they were in Regina and to now have them kick off their Canadian tour and have their very first venue be Regina?? Seriously? Does this not have "Glenda" written all over it?? Swoon. Sigh. Life is good.

Here is youtube footage of a concert last month. I can only hope they play all of these songs!!!! Oh Johnny!!!!

I could go on and on but you get the picture!!!!!!!!!!

The other amazing news I have is that I got my new Sony reader yesterday and it is amazing!!!! It was easy to use and figure out (I'm just needing to perfect a couple things like how to email books to someone else and how to save the books to my computer as well as my reader...) but it's so awesome!! Here is a video from youtube that shows what it's about and some of the cool features:

I downloaded 2 books right away and am currently reading this

It's grabbed my attention so far and it looks like I'm in for an exciting ride! Could you imagine being a rocker chick? I bet they had some amazing times as well as some not so amazing ones.

I played along with the Pink Paislee challenge over at 2 peas and made this layout using mostly Pink Paislee products. I really love how this turned out:

This one I'm not too keen on how it turned out. I am not used to only scrapping with one picture and it all went wrong. Oh well, it is what it is. I think I'm not happy with it also because of the expression on Paige's face. It was her 16th birthday and you would think she could have smiled for my one picture right?? Riiiggghhht. Not. She just wanted the whole thing to be over with so when I look at this I think I get those emotions and it just makes the layout not that great. Oh well, maybe next year.

We got a letter yesterday telling us that yes, her car has been written off so I need to call and make an appointment for us to go in and discuss our options. I knew that was coming but it doesn't make it any easier to swallow. I'm going to be so worried now when it snows. Sigh.

We are now watching Season 5 of Entourage and it just gets better, seriously. Love me my Vinnie and the boys.

Life is sooooo good!!!

A great weekend!!

I had Friday off and did some errands and got groceries. Bought myself 3 new sweaters for work. It's funny because the weather here right now is so out of character for Saskatchewan. It was a balmy 17 above on Friday. In November!!! Usually we have snow and are cold! I'm so not complaining but I know the new sweaters will come in handy very soon. On Sunday it actually got to 20 above and was absolutely gorgeous!!!!!!

Paige and I took her car to the insurance place and the damage estimate we got was $4400. Heavy sigh. I have to wait now for a phone call next week telling me what they think the book value of her car is to find out if it's going to be written off and I'm afraid that it is. I'll keep you posted.

I went to check out the new challenge over at http://www.simplyatc.com/ and saw that I had won a prize from the last challenge!! woohoo!!! I was super pumped and love playing along with those guys. The latest challenge is something different now. We are done with the Alice in Wonderland theme and onto "Typography", which is so cool. We had to use the "&" sign in our ATC and here is mine:

I made this layout with some summer pictures I had. I just love doing multi pic and collage type layouts. This one makes me happy just to look at it.

I checked out some challenges over at 2 peas and decided to play along. I keep looking at all my supplies and needed this nudge to make me start using them up more. The challenge was to do a layout using 50% Studio Calico product and it had to include 3 or more related products. So I dug into my stash and lovingly fondled this paper. You can't buy Studio Calico where I live and I had been lucky enough to receive some of their goodies from Scrapbook Trends for having one of my layouts published. Here is what I made using their products

I love doing this style of layout and loved these colors.

We watched a couple movies this weekend . The first one sucked, which was surprising because Adrian Brody was in it. I thought it odd he went for such a cheesy movie. I know he was also in "Splice" but I thought Splice was alot more interesting and made you think. This was just stupid, really, really, stupid.

Get him to the Greek was good, I thought it had humour as well as a serious side. I did enjoy seeing what Katy Perry married and thought he gave a really good performance. There were some pretty funny parts that had me laughing out loud (by myself might add as John went to bed early because he was tired as he's working all weekend)

I had my grandson over for the afternoon and had a good time with him. He is infatuated with our stairs (we have a 2 storey so there are ALOT of stairs) and played the "stair game" for over 2 hours. Of course that meant that I had to play as well. I was tired when his mom came to get him as I had him for 3 hours! I know that doesn't sound like much but when you can't let your guard down and are shadowing them it's alot!

Just started Entourage Season 4 today. Looooveeeee!!!

I simply cannot get enough of Vince and boys. This show rocks the kazba!!!!!!!
