Random Sunday musings...

It's been a while since I just posted just because... I am sitting in my art room, the sun is shining through the blinds and the house is silent. It's heavenly!!  I am going to start working on my Viva Las VegaStamps! DT projects and just wanted to pop in and share a layout I made as well as some random musings of where I am at this moment in time.
I love this paper and love how the layout turned out. This is why I scrap. To be able to look back on special moments and remember just how great they were.

Random Sunday Musings:

- I am going to make a new chicken recipe from Pinterest tonight (I loooveee Pinterest!!)
- I am grateful for all that I have, especially for my health, family & friends
- The hubs and I will be going to see Black Sabbath in concert in April (I know, holy shit what was I thinking agreeing to this??? haha)
- I miss Skyler
- I read from my e-reader every single day
- I hate that I have trouble falling and staying asleep, I need to do more research on this because it is HORRIBLE. Only people with sleep problems can relate to just how frustrating this truly is.
- My husband can still make me laugh even after 32 years~!
- I rediscovered my love of Blue Cheese salad dressing

Well that's it for my Sunday ramblings so have a wonderful day everyone!

Using stamps as scrapbook embellishments!

One thing I love about stamps is that they are so versatile! You can use them in ATC's, mixed media, art journaling, canvases and scrapbooking! Sometimes when I'm scrapping away I look at my layout and think that it's missing something but I don't have the store purchased embellishment or just the right thing to finish it off. That's where stamps come in! On this layout I used 4 different stamps Viva Las VegaStamps! as embellishments, can you spot them?

These are just a couple I've taken close ups of so stop by the Viva Las VegaStamps! Blog to see the full post and all 4 stamps that were used.  So the next time you are scrapping grab some stamps and have fun using them as embellishments!

RIP Skyler 1998-2013

This post is late since I have been dealing with some stressful stuff but I wanted to make sure I got it up.  Our beloved dog, Skyler, had to be put to sleep on December 12, 2013 as he was in alot of pain due to a cruciate ligament tear.  When he first got the injury 2 1/2 years ago the vet didn't think he would ever heal or be able to walk normally but he was able to get around! John says it must have been my love that did it and I like to think so.  It started becoming more and more painful for him and we had him on the maximum dose of painkillers but they weren't helping as he would pace at night and was having trouble laying down to sleep.  We knew then that we didn't want him to keep suffering and it was the hardest thing I've had to do.

He was 16 years old and was a loved member of our family ever since we adopted him from the Humane Society in the summer of 2002. He was always smiling and had a gentle disposition (except when people he didn't know tried to pat him! haha) and we had many nicknames for him such as Skip, Skilly, Big Poppa & Skipper. He never minded when I dressed him up for Halloween or Christmas and was Sam's trusty sidekick.  He will be forever in our hearts and minds and is sorely missed.  Here are some pictures of our furry angel in heaven:

We have alot of great memories and I know I will miss him everyday. xoxo Love you Skip!
